So, my new apprentice is getting his first taste of actually working with numbers that reflect into actual facts in real life, well and good.
Today I asked him to prepare me a report that I had taught him about yesterday, I didn't expect him to be able to finish it correctly on the first time, in fact, I left him some minor issues to deal with while reporting, this is the only way he'll learn them, by facing and overcoming them.
He's working on it now, I can see his monitor, trying to come up with the first set of figures, ofcourse, all are wrong.
But, this is not what concerns me, what concerns me is that he's trying to add ratio analysis to that, a subject he knows nothing of, it's too advanced for him yet, we don't require it at his level, but he's trying to impress.
I told him a million times to stick to what's asked of him, but he still insists on trying to bypass what I'm teaching him, this is not good.
I mean, improvising is good, I used to try to impress when I was still a rookie, but I knew that if the basic requirement is not met, then all the extra trimmings won't work, when will he ever learn???
Looks like I'll have to subdue him today, a task I'm not very fond of, but he must learn to be target oriented, trimmings come at a later stage.

it's seems like someone is gonna get his a$$ whopped, but please be gentle.
It actually seems like the nicer you are with Rookies the more the try don't listen to a word you say.
Exactly, he just came to ask me about something I told him about twice yesterday, oh well.
Lool it will be a tough month but at the end u will look at him feeling u really accomplished something..
Good luck :))
Slop take it easy on the guy please he is trying to impress the boss we all had our share of that back in the days remember?
of course he assumed that the figures he got r right so to impress u, he has done this ratio analysis, so i think a warning will be enough
