Ooooppppsssss!!!!

Ok, so here's the situation, I went out with a very dear and old friend yesterday evening, forgot to get some money from the ATM, she was kind enough to pay, after I drove her home, I stopped by the bank to withdraw some cash out of the ATM machine.

Now, for those who don't know, I've just changed jobs and they insist on transferring payrolls to a bank I don't deal with, so they opened me an account, I received the ATM card last sunday, so yesterday was the first try with this bank.

Ok, enter pincode, pincode entered, card jumps out in my face, "We're sorry, no options available for your card".

I call them up today, they tell me the following:

Customer Service (CS) : "Sorry Sir, but since you sent a runner to pick up your card, we de-activated it first".
Me: "Ok, now can you re-activate it?"
CS: "You need to show up at the branch to do that"
Me: "Where's your branch"
CS: "It opens up on Sunday 8:30 AM"
Me: "Couldn't you have told me about it earlier, it's friday, how am I to make it through the weekend with 10 EGP in my wallet?"
CS: "I apologize, nothing we can do about it"

.... The rest has been monitored as this page is not rated as XXX.

So, here I am at 10 AM, with 10 EGP through the weekend, just borrowed some money from my dad, which is something I don't like.

Don't you love our banking system?!

Territorial Boundaries

As far back as I can remember, there's always been a scene that really provoked me, it's something we see in everyday life.

When you see a couple walking down the street or sitting somewhere, with the guy having his arm around her shoulder, not in a passionate caring way, but in a sort of "You're mine" way.

Each time I see this, I'm tempted to walk over, explain to him the traditional ways of territory control, such as pissing on the tables, ejaculating on the walls, shitting around the corners and of course, let us not forget the occasional howl for any other would be alpha male in the vicinity.

I mean, in all honesty, what's the difference between such a guy and a dumb tomcat living at your place, they both want to claim the territory, along with any females in the vicinity.

I don't mind the occasional exercise of protection, I practice it myself from time to time, but this only happens when the girl I'm with attracts the wrong sort of attention from people in the vicinity, it's a sort if "I'm here, so no monkey business please"

Another thing that I find rather amusing, is the routine of double dates that get split halfway, when one of the guys decides he needs to check out something in a nearby shop or something, ofcourse, he takes one of the girls with him, you should see the attitude the other guy gets when he's alone with the other girl for the first time, he can finally start to look all-seeing, all-knowing.

He sits up in his chair, starts raising his voice a bit (A notion of confidence), begins speaking about work, the hardships of life, how his parents misunderstand him, and what brilliant ideas for mankind he has.

Try getting into his head for a while, one thing is there most probably, but we needn't discuss that.

Now, my question is, when you're out on a date, are you there to enjoy the company of the lady or are you there so people can see you have a lady??

I could go on forever, but I'm due at work in 1 hour, so let's leave it here.

Worth a laugh

I was going to write something serious, then changed my mind, I could use a good laugh, as probably most do.

I took this off a forum I have with some of my friends.

Are you a Republican, Democrat or Redneck

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

The answe r can be found by posing the following question:

You' re walking down a
deserted street with your wife and
two small children.

Suddenly, a terrorist with a huge knife comes
around the corner, locks eyes with you,
screams obscenities, raises the knife , and charges at you.

You are carrying a
Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.

You have mere seconds
before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .....

THINK CAREFULLY AND
THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat' s Answer :

Well, that' s not enough information to answer the quest ion!

Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think ?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club
and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway,
and what kind of message
does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me,
or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my
famil y get away while he was stabbing me?
Shoul d I call 9- 1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes ,
have a paint and weed day and
make this a happier, healthier street
that would discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing! I need to debate
this with some friends for few days
and try to come to a consensus.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .....

Republican 's Answer:

BANG!

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .....

Redneck's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG !
Click . .... ( Sound s of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG! Click

Daughter: ' Nice grouping, Daddy ! Were those
the Winchester Silver tips or hollow point s?! '

Son: 'Can I shoot the next one? !'

Wife: 'You ain' t taking that to the taxidermist!!

And here was the funniest answer I saw, posted by a female friend of mine who lives in a crime infested town in the States.

Bang! Bang! *shoots guy in head and chest until magazine is empty and then repeatedly kick corpse on the head and screams obscenities for a minimum of three minutes until starts sounding like Yosemite Sam with every other phrase being Muther Fucker*

Family joins in with the post shooting festivities.

40s all around bitches.

Amazing Song, got me to tears, "None but the lonely heart"

Yesterday night I couldn't sleep well, and when I finally got myself to sleep, I awoke 3 hours later with one of those nightmares that have been attacking me lately, but this one was different, it was so intense, so sad.

Anyway, I got up at 5 AM with a chest pain, that I can only put down to the sorrow I felt from that vision, it's creepy when God decides to show you something, I've become accustomed to it, but the fear that struck me at what I saw was beyond me, I had a horrible headache, backpains and wanted to vomit.

So, I decided I needed some music to calm me down, none but Tchaikovsky can describe sorrow, the guy's whole life was about failure, lack of recognition, seeing his life work being thrown down the drain, he committed suicide at the end.

I decided to look up one of his serenades, it's called "None but the lonely heart", it was originally written for strings, then in the 1930's, someone decided to put words to it in English, I listened to the russian version, only the composer's language can match his music, I already knew the words, but this particular performance got me to tears.

I'm including 3 links to it, the first is the Russian version, the second, the English version, and the third for Violin and Orchestra, even if you don't like the genre, just give it a try, I believe the music speaks directly into you.

Favourite Mottos

I prefer one.

"To put your trust in your enemy, put your trust in your sword and your sword in your enemy"

Quite genius, anyone got a favorite motto?

Helpless

You know, today I experienced one of the feelings I rarely experience, it's when you want to reach out for someone dear to you, but that someone has become so accustomed to dealing with their own problems on their own, of not being taken care of, that they just shun your outstretched hand.

You start thinking whether it's better to leave them alone, but you're quite undecided.

You don't like to appear intruding, but you can't watch in silence and you can't just walk away, cause walking away, you'll just wonder what has happened in your absence, and watching hurts.

So, which should I choose to become, "The Intruder", "The Bastard" or "The By-stander".

STD's (Don't read if easily offended)

I grabbed this off a forum, made me laugh my eyes out of their sockets, thought maybe I should share, we all need a good laugh.

There once was a little boy who went to a whore house. He went in, and told the madam he wished to purchase the services of a young lady. The madam found this quite amusing, and asked if he had any preferences about the young girl. The little boy said he wanted one with syphilis, if possible. The madam, quite taken aback, asked why he would want such a thing. The little boy replied that if he had sex with a girl with syphilis, he would contract it. Then, when the babysitter molested him, she would contract it. Then when his father took her home and had sex with her, he would contract it. His Father would then go home, and give it to his mother, who would give it to the milkman the next morning. "And that's the son of a bitch who ran over my frog!"

He's eductated, you know

Today, while going to work, I was buying a pack of cigarettes, when a police soldier entered the shop, and the following conversation ensued.

Soldier: heyya bekam el 2ezaza el kanz? (How much for a bottle of cans?)
Seller: 2ezaza kanz eh yabni, mafeesh 7aga keda (A bottle of cans, no such thing)
Soldier: ya 3am 7'allas, el 2ezaza el kans el bebs di (Hurry up, this bottle of cans of Pepsi)
Seller: esmaha 3elba kanz yabni (It's called a can of cans)

Anyway, the conversation ensued for about 5 minutes while I waited for my change.

Question, has it become a habit to mock ignorant people, also, have people lost all sense of mercy, this guy has been sent here by his taskmaster aka his officer.

WAKE UP!!!!

Degenerates aka Sub-human

I was walking down a mall today, after my lunch break, when something struck me, the majority of the shops in that mall were lingerie shops.

I started thinking, I used to work at a retailer's, the highest sales were those for underpants.

Add to this the amount of income spent on aphrodisiacs.

Et voila, we have a winner, we are a people who spend more on making kids, than we do on raising them...

If you remember the old Bilharziasis add on TV "Toul ma neddy dahrena lel ter3a", the guy was listing a number of horrible diseases cause by Bilharzia, only one mattered to the poor peasant "Sterility", god forbid, to our people this is more horrible than cancer.

Are people so proud of their ability to f..k like rabbits, and what offspring will come of that, just a new wanderer like all of us (Mesh 7atgeeb Napoleon ya3ni)

Ah well, to each his own.

Mirror, Mirror!!!!!

I woke up today to find there are 2 very annoying facts, I'm out cigarettes and I'm out of credit, so I can't call my friends up, I walked out of the room to make my morning coffee, and lo and behold, the armoured vehicle known as our servant is cleaning the kitchen, no morning coffee, things are looking brighter by the minute, now all I need is a horde of blue dragons flying across the hallway and the day would be complete.

Anyway, most of this has been sorted, the bawab has been dispatched to buy me cigarettes and a scratch card, and I had to exercise some dominance on my mom, so she made me coffee.

Queer really, how you wake up to such a day, then read a blog post that really makes you ask yourself questions, me being me, I tried to appear as wise as usual, when in fact I'm watching from the sideline and showing the sort of - after the accident - wisdom.

Oh well, the real purpose I'm writing today is different, I need to ask a question, has anyone of us actually stood in front of the mirror before, and if so, did we like what we see, interesting question, I know I don't like what I see, what do you folks think, do you like it??

Drifting

Well, I'm feeling kinda numb, you know when you know what needs to be done, but can't get yourself to actually do it.

I need to have a haircut, but haven't had the energy or felt like wasting 1 hour of my life going to my barber, the guy is a chatterbox and when he opens his mouth, you can smell farting frogs through his larynx (obviously they haven't discovered toothpaste where he comes from), oh well.

I need to re-organize my friends, see who's worth keeping and who should go to the nearest dump, one in mind, but we go way back I can't imagine what it would be like without that person.

I need to quit smoking, amongst other bad habits, but I'd rather deal with the side effects than the cold turkey.

Last but not least, I need to quit being so docile, I'm the sort of person who bubbles up, then explodes on the first unsuspecting victim, usually totally unconcerned with the events that to the explosion, but they happen to be just like me.

Oh well, now I'm topping that off with babbling, I'm off.

Re-discovered Interest

I had lost interest in music, suddenly I've re-discovered the joy of classical music, it's about how someone puts his whole life, ambitions, hurts and dilemmas into just one work of genius, it's devastating.

However, the stress in that music, the sort of anxiety it puts you through to discover a person, to imagine what he might be like, it's a killer, not a few times have I walked around the room in circles, chain-smoking, trying to concentrate on what each instrument does, how they co-ordinate, how they lay low, then burst in energy, turning you into anger, happiness or even in tears.

Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

This has died, maybe I should revive it

Well, here it is folks, I noticed I had started posting, then stopped for 10 months, not that anybody cares anymore.

Anyway, the last part of my life has been hectic, full of betrayals and revelations, it's queer really, how all of a sudden you turn around and see you're standing there, looking impenetrable, yet in fact you're quite vulnerable.

But atleast most of the pieces are in place where they belong now, I've re-discovered someone, she's really changed my views about a lot of things.

Changed work, finally, got rid of the hog I had for a boss, he's flown again where he belongs, may he never return.

But sometimes, I look back and all I see is darkness and confusion, and one urge seizes me " I want my pound of flesh ", unfortunately I'll never have it, so now, I must learn to be a part of the whole, not a leader of the pack.

I guess that was boring enough.

Ciao for now
